Jeff Williams: Fighting Against Gun Violence

The Politics In Color Team covered the 2024 HOPE Global Forums in Atlanta, Dec. 9 – 11 where they college interviews with newsmakers, thought leaders, elected and appointed politicians, celebrities and many others.

New York-based Jeffery Lorenzo Williams (https://jefferylorenzowilliams.com/) is a man of many talents. As a Real Estate Broker, Creator of the Shoe and Fashion brand JLORENZO, Mentor, Model, Author and Legal Finance Administrator for Colgate-Palmolive, he has made a name for himself in a variety of fields.

But Jeff’s journey has been far from easy. At the age of 13 he was accidentally shot and paralyzed. Despite this set back, he lives a full life. Jeff has refused to let his disability hold him back. If you tell him he can’t he will show you he can! He drives, has been jetskiing, flown a plane, been rollerskating and has participated in many other activities. He has become a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion not just in the disabled community but in every community, using his own experiences to inspire and empower others globally.

The HOPE Global Forums convene the most influential leaders from government, community and the private sector to outline a vision for the modern global economy – where the benefits and opportunities of free enterprise can be extended to everyone. Our Annual Meeting is now the largest gathering in the world focused on the empowerment of the underserved. The 2023 events were viewed by 5.1 million people in 30+ countries. Participants are challenged to make HOPE in Action Commitments – large or small, individual or collective – focused on creating positive change in the world. #hope #newsmakers #impact
