What should President-elect Barack Obama's priorities be in his first 100 days?  The economy? Iraq War? Health Care? Darfur? Bailing out Detroit? Gay marriage?

As many American's are estatic that Nov. 4 2008 has finally arrived, now is not the time to become complacent.  Today is the day that democracy must be protected because today democracy will truly be tested.

Taxes and economic relief were dominant themes by candidates Obama and McCain, but the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, energy and environmental protection, and affordable health care matter too.

In the first half hour of trading this afternoon, Wall Street's closely watched Dow Jones Industrial Average, an index of blue chip companies, plunged by 356 points to 11,743. What would the fair tax do for the economy?

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including:

A progressive national retail sales tax.
A prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level.
Dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality.
Repeal of the 16th Amendment through companion legislation.
