Here's my suggestion for next week's debate in Hofstra: No talking points, no stump speeches. Moderator Bob Schieffer should have the option to cut either candidate off if they use any buzz word or phrase from the previous two debates.

As our financial markets totter, as homes go into foreclosure, as Wall Street executives lose millions, as Americans have more and more difficulty getting loans, can anyone be happy?

Certainly. Those on the left who now, with unbounded glee, pen obituaries for the free market.

One can sense their joy as they have, they think, the last laugh.

Could it be that Senator John McCain and the Republican Party have made peace with the gay and lesbian community — but not the Latino community?

It would appear so given the mutual love fest between the two.

$700 Billion (repeat). SEVEN-HUNDRED Billion DOLLARS (I’m saying this in a high-pitched Chris Rock voice). Negro please! This bailout is corporate welfare, and we all should perceive it as such. Yes, something has to be done about this floundering economy. I’m just not sure that it should come with a $700 billion price tag. Don’t we owe China enough money?
