The beautiful, accomplished, poised, intelligent, hard-working Michelle Obama is the Michelle that I aspire to be.

It is tremendously difficult to explain to someone who is not black, what it is like to be black in America. An endeavor of that magnitude, in most cases, is not worth attempting. Still, I'm glad that one reporter tried, although she may have missed the mark.

Cris Bridges, otherwise known as Ludacris, a three-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, calls Hillary Clinton a "b*tch" in a verse of his latest song.

By now, most of you have heard the clip. Unaware that his microphone was on during a break for a Fox News program last Sunday, Rev. Jesse Jackson whispered to another guest, " See Barack, he's been talking down to Black people about this faith based.... I want to cut off his nuts."

The shit (sorry Jesus) has officially hit the fan.

It is officially time for Barack Obama to bring out his big guns if he plans to win the Democratic nomination, and I’m not talking about the ones he hides under those White Armani shirts. I’m talking about his star-studded group of celebrity supporters:  Oprah Winfrey, Ted Kennedy,  John Kerry, Maria Shriver, Jennifer Aniston, Robert De Niro, Chris Rock, Bill Richardson and George Clooney.  (I mean really, who doesn’t love Clooney?)

Before the noise of Rev. Jeremiah Wright's incendiary remarks reverberated so loudly they could no longer be ignored, the Obama campaign was the embodiment of fanatical hope, unimaginable idealism, untethered energy and prophetic change.

In 1963, the same year Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., made his infamousÂ
"I Have a Dream" speech, he was arrested and sent to jail for protesting
racial injustice in Birmingham, Ala. The date was April 16th.

For the first time in a long while young voters are truly excited about a presidential candidate. Remove the name of presidential hopeful, Barack Obama from the ballot, and you can forget about a second-round blitz at the polls in November by young voters.
